"How is she, doc?" Alfred asked softly to the female, who was checking her clipboard.
"She is recovering, which is a good sign," the doctor said with a small smile, "But, she may not remember some things. After all, she did take a strong blow to the head in the car crash."
Alfred smiled jubilantly and thanked the doctor with glee. His (Name) was recovering! A month ago, (Name) was in New York City to visit Alfred. Not used to the pedestrian life, she got in a car accident. Luckily, one of Alfred's good friends, Toris was nearby and admitted her to the hospital. (Name)'s injuries weren't fatal, but she went into a coma. However, she was expected to come out of it soon.
Alfred slowly entered his girlfriend's room, hoping that she was awake. His cerulean eyes dampened with sadness when he discovered that she was not. He dragged the plastic chair to her bed and tenderly held her soft and smooth hand. 'Oh (Name), how I wish you were awake,' he thought to himself as he watched his girlfriend for any slight movement.
Right when Alfred was about to leave for his weekly world conference, he felt a small twitch from (Name)'s hand. Alfred's eyes widened to the size of dish plates and he laughed his signature laugh. She was out of her coma!
'Forget about the meeting! The hero needs to be here for his girlfriend!' Alfred thought as he patiently waited for her to regain consciousness. He called the nurse and doctor to tell them that she was out of her coma. They joyously responded by telling him that she should be awake in a few hours. Alfred sat back down in his chair, waiting for the moment when his beloved (Name) would wake up.
